We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The location was secluded enough that we could enjoy the feeling of nature and yet be within 30 minutes or less from all of our destinations. The house is spacious and so beautifully decorated in the camping theme. There was so much to do including swimming and boating in the pond, enjoying the hot tub and sauna, and the and game room. What I love most about this house is the large dining room and neck porch dining tables. We could all eat together for our large party of 11. We used the outdoor dining area with the screened porch everyday as we played games and could watch the kids play in the pond. I would recommend this home to everyone.

The home was beautiful inside and out. I loved the bedrooms and sleeping arrangements. The garage that was turned into a game room was a lot of fun. The back porch was a perfect place to have family meals and the net around the back porch to keep bugs out was very much appreciated. The back yard kept everyone entertained with great fishing in the pond and everyone gathered around the fire pit. Overall our stay was really nice.
A few things to note though, the hot tub did not work. The owners did send someone out to look at it but they could not get it fixed.
There was only 1 small/medium sized skillet to cook with so if you have a large group which we did, bring a big pan. There were things on the listing that said would be in the home that were not like toiletries, trash bags, cleaning supplies, pack n play, so if there is something you are expecting to be there from the listing I suggest to reach out to host prior to going there.

We loved the kid friendly options that this place offered. The game room was enormous and provided endless fun, as well as the swing set downstairs, the bunk beds for sleepovers, and the movie room. All of that was perfect for what we needed during a very rainy weekend. The main issue we came across was cleanliness and unusable amenities. Shortly into our stay we discovered that the place had not been cleaned at all, resulting in the cleaning crew interrupting our family time for 2 hours and not finishing until close to 9 PM. The host had very minimal communication with us about this, and seemed unaware that the place was still dirty from previous guests. He apologized and offered to send goodies for the kids in response. It was too little too late, and the general unawareness of the state of their place was concerning. The hot tub also continued to be unusable, despite being cleaned. Again, loved the kid options, but the host and cleanliness makes me hesitate to book again.

I can’t say enough about this cabin! The property was beautiful! There was so much to do for every age of our family. Having everything you need right at the house so you don’t have to leave is very nice! The house was clean and Logan was very responsive for any issues that may have came up!

Wonderful place to stay for our double family vacation! Kids were never bored and although about 30min from the popular hiking spots, we had no problems as it was so well equipped with everything we needed. Weather was perfect. Comfortable beds, showers were hot with great pressure! Hope to stay here again! Thank you.
Our whole family was so impressed with this house
Our whole family was so impressed with this house! It was very clean when we arrived, and fully stocked with everything we needed for a large group (11 adults, 3 kids). We cooked meals without lacking any utensils, pots, pans, etc. The game room was a great place to hang out, especially in the evenings. There is plenty of seating and gathering spaces throughout the inside and outside of the home. We loved fishing and taking the paddle boat out around the pond, playing games on the back porch, and having a comfortable place to catch up with family as we all live in different states. The home was just like the photos. Logan and his team were super responsive, easy to get a hold of when we had a few questions leading up to the trip, and made the whole stay very enjoyable. We already talked about planning another trip here in the future, as it fit our needs perfectly!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home! We came for a family reunion and it was the perfect place—spacious, comfortable, and absolutely stunning inside and out. The view of the pond was so peaceful and added to the charm, and the location was ideal, close to all the Hocking Hills attractions. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot to spend time together. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time with 10 adults and 3 children. We were all able to spend time together playing games, eating meals at the nice large tables, with comfortable bedding for all of us. We also enjoyed the pond, hot tub & firepits. There was enough room in the house to enjoy quiet time to relax too! We all loved the front and back porches, very cozy! We would highly recommend this house.

The stay was great. Place was perfect for the kids (ages 1-6). Kids had a blast. House was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty of space and things to do for kids and adults. Host was very responsive to answer any questions.

This house is great for families with kids! The basement and garage are stocked with lots of kid friendly games and activities and the basement bunk was very cozy. Would definitely come back to explore more of Hocking Hills.

The house looked just like the photos, was cute and comfortable and had plenty of room for our 2 families! The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and responded immediately when I had questions about using the fireplace or finding remotes for fans/light fixtures. The hot tub was a fun addition in the cold weather and there is a sauna but we weren't sure how to use it. The backyard is beautiful with a lake and boats, hammocks and fire pits although we didn't really use them since it was so cold. The game room had a TON of fun activities for the whole family but unfortunately it was freezing out there since there was only one small space heater for the whole room (2 car garage). It would be an EXCELLENT place to visit in the summer and we may do just that! Thanks Logan!

Beautifully themed home with so many activities and “toys” to keep the whole family entertained. The back porch and back yard space was amazing for the summer no matter what the weather was. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive when one of the appliances was not working. If you have kids of any age, they will love the entire space with safe and independent play - but be sure to take pictures of where everything goes at the beginning as there is an expectation at check out to return all items as you found them. Overall, a lovely and easy place to stay when gathering the whole gamely together! Thanks to Logan and Bri for hosting us and for the awesome communication!

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful home last weekend with our extended family! The house was very clean, thoughtfully decorated, and in the perfect location. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and there was so much to do at the house itself—perfect for both kids and adults.

Thank you Logan. We so enjoyed our family getaway at the Oak & Oar. Games were abundant, the game room was awesome and the outdoor options were impressive. We utilized the paddle boat, golf putting, fire pits and smore equipment. I realize the issue with the propane tanks were not your fault. Your team was very responsive and appreciated their assistance. We loved the mattresses in the room with two queen beds upstairs. So comfy. Thank you so much. Martha.
Great place to stay
Great place to stay! Our family had a lot of fun and there was so much to do during our stay that our kids never once couldn’t find something to do… we went from being outside all day around the fire (2 options/locations for different views- wood or propane), teeing off from a golf pad to an island green, and then using the paddle boat and/canoe to gather the floating balls that were provided and also get on the island green to do some putting (pretty awesome), and enjoying the hot tub.
From there when we were done outside we came in to the large game room area where there was a pool table, two arcade games, a ping pong table, pop-a-shot basketball, and foosball table. We set up a small speaker in there and played games all night listening to music.
Beds were very comfortable and waking up to the sun behind the trees looking out to the lake was such an awesome view.
The Hosts were very responsive and great to work with… would definitely recommend!

The place is a dream. There’s really no need to leave. Hosts are incredibly responsive. Pond is good for fishing and is clean and well maintained. There’s something in every nook and cranny of the home to discover I’m sure I didn’t even see it all there was clearly much thought put into the creation of this dense beautiful warm space we are blessed to have had the opportunity to enjoy it. They even had toys in the kid area so no need to pack any. I’m sure I’m missing something here.

Our extended family of 12 had an amazing long weekend at this place. It is spacious, beautifully maintained, and well stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen supplies to games for the kids.
The beds were comfortable, common areas ideal for family meals and simply hanging out together. The outdoor space was the best. We enjoyed the firepit, hot tub, boating and fishing on the pond.
The hosts were responsive and thoughtful, providing clear instructions.

We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday with our closest friends and family at Oak and Oar. The house is giving vintage kids camp vibes and all of our kids loved it. Unfortunately it did rain both nights we were there so we had to paddle boat and hot tub in the rain, but that didn’t stop us from having fun! There was plenty of indoor activities to keep the kiddos occupied during the rainstorm. We had two issues, but Logan responded right away and had both things fixed asap. Overall a fun trip for large family gathering 🙂

The home was super clean, well stocked and very spacious for our group of 14. So many different spaces to hang out inside and outside. The kids absolutely loved it with so many activities in and out of the house. We took advantage of everything that was available including the pond with a paddle boat and kayak, fire pits, hot tub, sauna, gym, porch swings, hammocks, and game room.
Our family enjoyed the camphouse and will definitely return to this beautiful place!

You can tell a lot of thought went into making this a great environment for guests. One day it rained but it was the perfect day to hang out, rest and enjoy all the features. There were games and activities for the kids, and lots of great places to watch a movie. The hot tub and sauna were great, but our favorite part was having the pond with the kayaks and paddle boat.
We couldn’t get the gas fireplace to start outside but that might have been user error.
The only thing we didn’t love was the 10am check out time, with the cleaning crew lined up on a side road waiting for us. They do a great job, because the house was spotless, but it made us feel rushed. If it was an 11am check out time, that would be understandable, but they were lined up at 9:45. Other than that, it was perfect!

Just book It
Just book It!!! My family and I took some time away over Labor Day wknd to spend quality time together. Let's just say, no one was bored staying right at the house. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable with clean comfortable linens, there was enough space to easily accommodate our party of 10 and if we would have had a few more. Everything listed is exactly how it is. There was something to entertain each and every family member at all times, which consisted of 5 adults, 2 teenage boys, and three younger children ages 6-8.
There is two places that can accommodate setting down for a meal as a whole family. That meant the most to me. Other important info: The host responds in a very timely fashion. There is no cell service here (not the hosts fault) however, they provide starlink internet service. The tourist attractions, like Old Man's Cave, is roughly 30 mins to get to.
To drive into Logan, it takes about 15 mins to get there. Again, just book it. You won't regret it!
