Overall, this was a great place to stay
Overall, this was a great place to stay. The home was very spacious and had plenty of beds for our group. The hot tub, campfire area, and the pool table room were great places to hang out.
There are a few things to call out. The pool pass has a max capacity of 8 guests not 16 as initially communicated. The pool would not allow more than that so our group had to split up. The driveway is also very steep and could benefit from a guardrail of some kind. One of our cars got stuck and required a tow truck to help move it.

The house was good and in a great location. Everything was comfortable and overall we had a nice stay. The only issue was that we were not able to use the outside fireplace because it was not working. Other than that, everything was good. A few small improvements could make the stay even better.

Wonderful stay at Deer Den!
We stayed at Deer Den for a triathlon training camp with 10 teens and 5 adults — and the place exceeded all our expectations. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable: cozy beds, a game and entertainment area, a relaxing hot tub, and an outdoor fire pit that made our evenings magical.
The large dining table and cozy living room became the heart of our gatherings as we celebrated our daily achievements. The setting of Massanutten Resort is absolutely perfect for active groups like ours — swimming, biking, and running were on the schedule every day.
Our host Logan was outstanding: courteous, responsive, and always available. He quickly provided everything we needed to cook for a large group — a real bonus!
We wholeheartedly recommend this place to other triathlon teams from Québec. An unforgettable stay!

We loved our stay at The Deer Den! The house is beautifully decorated and fun! Logan was an amazing host, and quickly responded to any questions or requests.
My kids loved the hunting arcade game, and we all enjoyed the hot tub, playing pool, darts, and corn hole.Also the local pool, which there is free access to, is close by and nice. Overall a lovely experience!

We had a great stay at this house. It’s very nice and comfortably accommodated all of us. The location is beautiful, and the check-in and check-out process was easy and convenient. The host was very easy to talk to and quick to communicate, which made everything smooth.
The kitchen was well stocked, although we did notice it was missing garbage bags. There was also a small issue in the game room where a piece of broken glass was missed during cleaning, and my nephew accidentally stepped on it and got a small cut. However, the host was very apologetic and immediately assured us that they would reach out to the cleaning team and improve their process to ensure better safety for future guests.
We would definitely recommend this place and would love to stay again!

Great place. Stayed for the week. Working in the area, was a nice retreat after a long day. Was a little disappointed “buck hunter” didn’t work or the gas fireplace. Everything was awesome and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Roads were clear and well maintained even though there had just been a big snowstorm. This was a very comfortable stay for our group, which included kids of varying ages! Lots of things were well thought out with games and activities for the little ones as well as for older kids. Beds were very comfortable, and the listed amenities kept us entertained inside even with cold temperatures during our stay! Be aware the driveway is steep which could be difficult for smaller vehicles if the winter conditions are hazardous, but it was definitely manageable for our vehicles without issue. Great property for a multi-family stay!

I slept in the bunk room one night and WOW it actually has the comfiest mattresses in the whole house (I tried a few)!

Stunning Mountain Escape! We had an incredible stay at this property in Massanutten! The home was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which we noticed the moment we walked through the door. There was plenty of space for our entire group to spread out and feel comfortable without ever feeling crowded. The amenities here are truly top-tier. We turned the garage into a daily wellness circuit, starting every morning with a sauna session followed immediately by a cold plunge and workout. It was the perfect way to kickstart the day. In the evenings, the hot tub was absolutely clutch for winding down under the stars. The setting is gorgeous, and the drive up the mountain offers some great views that really make you feel like you're getting away from it all. The host was super responsive and accommodating and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, high-end mountain retreat!

We stayed here for an annual family summer hiking trip with 11 family members. There was plenty of space for all of us and the hot tub was a big hit. There were a few inconveniences such as no frying pans, not having enough bathrooms for 11 people, and the living room tv inexplicably turned on at 3am on our first night at full volume. Additionally, the pool table had a broken hole, deer shooting game would not load, and the dart board was too worn for the lone dart provided to stick.
Despite those admittedly minor issues, we had a great time and the most important elements of our cabin were up to par and allowed us to be comfortable and happy on our trip.

My church and I had an amazing time at Logan’s property! It’s nestled on the mountain and it has some beautiful views. There’s a Costco not too far away from the property which makes it ultra convenient. The space was exactly as the pictures showed it to be, and Logan himself was a great host who was super responsive and helpful. The only downsides were that the kitchen was not quite as well stocked as we had hoped (we couldn’t find a decent sized non-stick pan, and some of the existing pans could use replacing), and the early check-out time, but both are super understandable and well within reason, and Logan did try to help us check-out later but wasn’t able to due to the popularity of the property! Check-out was super easy and reasonable, which I really appreciated. Having the EV Charger was super convenient for everyone in the group and there was plenty of parking even for 8 cars. Would definitely book again!

We loved everything about Deer Den! It fit our large group perfectly. From the adults to the teens, everyone enjoyed the amenities and game room, and relaxing and hanging out in the kitchen/living room area. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were beautiful. There were additional touches like hooks outside by the hot tub for towels, the basket of hot tub towels by the back door, the propane fire pit, and all of the kitchen utensils and appliances that elevated the house from great to fabulous. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to friends and family.

Logan’s has amazing views and great gathering spaces. The theme throughout the property is thoughtful and consistent, and the overall layout is very well designed. It’s a wonderful spot for the under-50 crowd, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
One thing to note is that the beds are very low, without traditional box springs. While the mattresses are extremely comfortable, the height may make it a bit challenging for older individuals to get in and out of bed. Still, the comfort and quality of the mattresses help balance this concern.
We did experience a couple of minor issues, including discovering that one of the beds was broken upon arrival. However, the staff handled it exceptionally well. Their handyman was kind, professional, and arrived the same day to repair everything.
Everyone we interacted with was responsive, helpful, and genuinely committed to making our stay a positive experience.

Thank you for hosting us. Everything about the house was as advertised. We used the sauna, hot tub, pool table, 4 across, fire pit, and enjoyed the deer all around the house. The restaurants and golf courses were close by and the views while driving were spectacular. Beautiful country. Unfortunately, my phone quit halfway through the week, so I missed out on taking any pictures on Skyline Drive. All four of us had a great time. We will be back.

The Deer Den was an amazing retreat! It's just as described, a new, stunning, Mountain retreat in the best location of Massanutten with amazing views. The front porch is an incredible spot to take in the Mountain View. We loved seeing the deer in the back yard and the hot tub and firepit are very private. Inside the House is well stocked and the professional design and quality of the furniture had us in awe! The Mattresses were amazing! 10/10 would recommend!
Staying at the Deer Den did not disappoint
Staying at the Deer Den did not disappoint! The views are gorgeous, the place is well taken care of and has everything you could need (blender, coffee, filtered water, large TV, great outdoor space, EV charger, comfortable beds, reliable wifi). We were able to easily work remotely from here with no issues with the wifi which was great! There were some great hikes nearby and so much wildlife we saw just walking around the neighborhood. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and fun retreat.
A couple notes that may be helpful:
- The hot tub is large and very nice!
- The firepit is a gas firepit which made having a fire easy!
- The road and driveway of the house is very steep so definitely make sure you have a car that can handle steep hills.
- The pool table was not in the best shape. Several of the pockets were broken, and the surface has a lot of lint.
- The shooting game also wasn’t working
